William Mc Comas Byron




William McComas Byron Jr. (born November 29, 1997) is an American professional race car driver. He currently races in the NASCAR Cup Series driving the #24 car for the Hendrick Motorsports team.




He was the 2015 NASCAR K&N Pro Series East champion and was selected as the 2016 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Rookie of the Year. In the 2017 season, Byron successfully won the 2017 NASCAR Xfinity Series title.




Since the 2018 season, Byron has raced full time in the Cup Series for the Hendrick team in the #24 car replacing Chase Elliott who switched to #9. He was selected as Rookie of the Year that season. Byron then scored his first victory in the Coke Zero Sugar 400 race at Daytona International Speedway in 2020.
