Saul Canelo Alvarez

Saul Canelo Alvarez is called the king of four divisions starting from light middleweight, middleweight, super middleweight, to light heavyweight. Canelo is the first boxer in history to become undisputed champion at super middleweight, having held the WBA (Super), WBC and Ring belts since 2020, the WBO title since May 2021, and the IBF title since November 2021.

Canelo is known as an excellent counterpuncher, able to exploit his opponents' weaknesses while avoiding blows with head and body movement. In March 2022, Canelo was named the world's best active boxer, pound-for-pound by BoxRec, The Ring, Boxing Writers Association of America, TBRB and ESPN. He was also named the best active super middleweight boxer in the world by BoxRec, The Ring, TBRB, and ESPN.

Saul Canelo Alvarez made his boxing debut at the age of 15 from a skinny teenager to world champion. Canelo underwent an extraordinary body transformation in his rise from a skinny boxer fighting at welterweight to a stocky fighter at super middleweight. The 31-year-old Mexican pound-for-pound king has dominated the 76.2 kg class since returning to the ring in December last year. Canelo dominated Callum Smith to capture the WBA title and win the vacant WBC belt before beating Avni Yildirim in February and then stopping Billy Joe Saunders in May.
