There are (probably) more people, as Machado was good enough last year to siphon seven first-place votes from Goldschmidt in last year's NL MVP voting. But he's a "hmmm, maybe a little lucky" kind of guy, although even fools like us can admit that he'll be more motivated this year with an opt-out on his contract looming.
